About Me

I am a Researcher and PhD Candidate in Computer Science at Universidad Industrial de Santander, associated with the HDSP Group (High Dimensional Signal Processing). My work is driven by a central question: How can we capture the world while guaranteeing its privacy and authenticity?

Visual Privacy: Protection at the Lens

Unlike traditional software-only privacy methods, my research focuses on Privacy-Aware Computational Imaging. I design end-to-end systems where the optical lens itself is optimized to "blind" sensitive information (like faces or identities) before the image is even digitized. By integrating deep learning with optical design, I ensure that privacy is guaranteed at the hardware level, protecting data from the moment of capture.

Visual Authenticity: Trust in the AI Era

In my work on Visual Authenticity, I explore the boundaries of image editing and forensics. With the rise of sophisticated generative models, I develop methods for efficient image inversion and editing—such as my work on MambaStyle—while simultaneously researching techniques to detect manipulations. My goal is to create a framework where digital media can be both high-quality and verifiably authentic.
